New Report – UK Gilts Data Latency Analysis
Gilt data used to arrive in minutes. It now arrives in under a second.
The UK bond Consolidated Tape went live in June 2026, following a change to the UK transparency regime in December 2025. The market expectation was these changes combined impact would impact transparency above and beyond everything else. The reality was that, in addition to enhanced transparency the tape has reduced post trade latency from minutes to fractions of a second.
Our new Insights Report, UK Gilts Data Latency Analysis, uses live UK bond CTP records across the tape’s first two months of operation to track execution-to-publication lag for gilt transactions. Split between electronically executed and voice trades, it follows the same method as our earlier US Treasury Data Latency Analysis report, applied to the UK market.
In the report, you’ll find:
- How transparency reform, then the consolidated tape, have created a seismic shift in bond data latency.
- The real-world impact of this change in sovereign debt markets.
- How two months of live CTP data shows the hidden truth in gilt latency.
- What the ETS Connect Plus consolidation layer costs in latency, and what it buys in data quality.
